Have had the same issues with prescribed painkillers post surgery. Advil is the bomb and works well for me also.

    Fire, food and football.

Stove is going, making pub grub and watching the Pats. Kind of an ugly game so far.

Yep, fire, football, and food here too.
And it's lightly snowing even though that was not in the forecast.
Bloody Mary's, Moscow mules, loaded nachos, and pork carnitas. Yum.

All this heat in the house has the wife changing into a t shirt. Love it

As a packer fan, with looking for nothing other than a good game to watch. I'm happy. 28-28.

    Now a flacco pick.

OK, that might do it. Poorly timed pass on that flacco throw. Good game though.

The Pats just woke up barely enough in the second half to pull that one off. Just barely enough. The last 4 seconds of the game was insane.

The TV got a proper yelling at tonight.

I did a little of everything today. Plowed to scrape things down a bit. Felled a couple of trees. Traveled to and watched a couple of basketball games the kids had. Traveled back and then cut one of those trees up to firewood and a couple of logs. Cleaned the pellet stove at camp. Brought some wood in. And now I am relaxing. I will be off to bed early tonight. The work and all that cold fresh air has tired me out.

Good morning, 26 with forecast of ice rolling in at 4p.m.and continuing into Monday, I get to work til 8pm.
My old Cherokee does pretty well off roading and even deep-ish snow, but a lift kit and tires does nothing for ice!!
I'll take my gear bag to the workhouse and plan on camping there. I've been known to stay before thru inclement weather and cover the department when others can't make it in.
    Be safe out there. Peace.

Good planning greendohn. Ice is nasty, and if you don't have to travel on it then better off not. What do you do about your heat if you stay there? What kind of back up do you have for your wood heat?

Well, the sun is out, a little windy and 4 C (39 F) so we might get laundry outside on the clothesline, put down a little wood into the basement and if it is dry enough, cut the lawn. I found some tulip bulbs in the gardening shed that I might get into a pot for spring blooming. It looks as if they are starting to sprout. Yes, it is January here.
