Runs real strong for a stock saw. OEM Mahle topend. Compression is 160psi. Piston is nice with machine grooves in it. HD filter. Everything runs and works as it should and is totally stock, except for the dual port muffler. The original muffler can be put on it if you'd rather have that instead of the aftermarket dual port. yes it is a very good runner for a stocker....i been back and forth on selling this saw. I got a nicer newer 440 today, so time for this one to find a new home....although I think the 044 will wax the new 440. Saw is sold pending payment.
It's a nice medium saw. I look forward to picking it up and running it. Too bad I won't be keeping it

I just sold a very similar saw, and it was definitely stronger than my MS440... Just not quite as nice of shape. I still have a Masterminded jug sitting on the shelf, though!
