Me too! If you are going to leave an animal outside, give it some protection and food and water. They can do fine if you give them a "den" to sleep in. Some people should not be allowed to own animals. I would like to chain them with their animals for a few nights. They would likely have a different perspective.

Those are some cold temps everyone. I'm more shocked by some of the indoor temps I would be in my birthday suit! It's amazing how fast you can acclimate to cold temps but also how easily it is to lose that. When I lived in Colorado I wouldn't bat an eyelash at single degree or negative temps. Now back on the east coast and a 18 degree day is brutal. Keep those fires rolling, I'm jealous I don't have a stove of my own to light!

I'm hoping the dog was playing in the snow and someone just had a funny thought. My dog sleeps by the stove, she was laying 3 feet from it most of the day today.

Same here, our Jack Russell lays there until he is hot to the touch and panting before he will move away to cool down.

Oh, WS, I couldn't agree more! There are only a few humans I hold in higher regard than my dog. And they are ALL blood related. My daughter, walking my dog Buddy got attacked by 2 big black dogs. Both had bites and were hurt. When I got home I went to see the guy, owner of the 2 black dogs. He was not apologetic! So when I left, I told him, "just so you know, I don't hold to many humans in higher regard than my dog and my family, AND YOU ARN'T ONE OF THEM""!!!! So keep your damm dog away from mine and my family!!!

Last night was our really cold night. Hit -5. Tonight is still cold mind you. This Lennox Canyon is performing well. Had to open the draft vent a little more, but it's not open that much.

I thought about it. But. Then I decided to be civilized and just threaten him. I am pretty sure he knew when I left that the next step was an azz whoopin. And I can tell you that if the old man couldn't do it that I would have had plenty of help behind me to finish the job.
