Well now that I have the house tightened up via the insulation in the attic I am loving my T6 even more. Low teens outside and I am getting 10-11 hour burns heating 2500 sq foot with the upstairs temps hanging around 72 and the first floor temps hanging around 73-74 at the end of the burn cycle.

The extra insulation has allowed me to no longer fight to get coals burned down since the stove in coaling stage can now keep up with the heat demand. I seriously can not believe how much more comfortable the house is this year. We no longer have a cold draft b lowing down from upstairs and the bedrooms even with the doors shut at night barely even cool off! My wife is now complaining it's to hot at night and started removing blankets from the bed and for her that is unheard of!

If you are wondering whether to beef up insulation in your house I say without a doubt DO IT! It makes a much bigger difference than I would have ever believed!

Here are a few pictures I took with a low shutter speed and thought they looked really cool!

Those PE burns are pretty cool. Nice pics. I got to play with mine for a few days last week.

I didn't add any insulation, though it is needed, but I did finish a couple of projects that tightened things up some. Big difference in heating here, too.

    Same here.
House has been easier to get warm, and keep it that way.
Still not great, but I'm far from done.
    Great pics Cert.

Great news on your insulating efforts! I think what struck me most about your comments, is that your stove can keep up with the heating demand during the coaling stage. That's huge:yes:

Should be burning less wood now too. :)

Way to go. Those t5's and t6's seem interesting to me, never had a chance to be around one or burn one. Looks like you had it stuffed NS?

Yeah North South is the way to go with this stove in my opinion! Great cigar burns from front to back.

Looks like our temps! It is currently 8 degrees with a wind chill of -9 but it is still a toasty 74 in here just where I like it!

My T6 is doing a fair job. The house is 69-70 in the stove room and varies through out the rest of the house. The propane kicks on depending what zone needs it. I have been thinking of different stoves that could put out more heat. I am glad Cert is warm and happy.
