No, I would of been burning them, but Sub told me about the Blazers at HD so I stocked up on those. I did burn about a ton or so of the others (firesides and mwp) before going to the blazers this season. The blazers are hot and have very little ash. I really haven't found much to complain about burning in this stove. I wasn't going to cut into the blazers before now, but our health took a turn so we did what we needed to do with what we have. I cked HD today, they have something called natures that is 100 % hardwood.

Can't necessarily agree with the "full" cleaning after 1 ton preaching. I'm on year 7 of burning 4 tons per season and have only done "full" cleanings once per year after the season is over. Deciding factors are climbing onto the roof of a two story house, burning spf Canadian softies, and laziness. ;) Flame on! :dex:

This is so true. I have customers that need a "full cleaning" twice a year that burn less than you and ones that could go 3 years without. Different venting configurations, pellets and stoves are all a factor.

Agreed. I have absolutely no horizontal venting for ash to collect in. My install drafts so good that when I pull the plug you almost can't tell a difference looking at the flame.

That's probably why mine stays so clean. A 3"-4" tee increaser and 14' of vertical. I clean my system to have something to do sometimes. :D

I make my mechanic do that lol, unless it's summer. Nothing spells torture like laying in a freezing ice cold dirt driveway working on a huge truck. Even then I help him, he has air tools and cuts me a break.

Trying to order some spare parts, Drolet website is a PIA. It directs me to an internet site that is out of stock. Surfing other sites that carry the parts is hit and miss, have to open too many windows to see "if" the description matches the SBI part #. I actually did this last fall, now I remember why it never was completed.

And even with gloves freezing cold tools are hard on the hands in the winter.

Sounds like RMH needs a heated shop.

Yeah getting factory parts can be a PITA without a dealer, they can be a little selfish like that. If I stumble across a good site for Drolet parts I'll send you a link.

Yeah I do lol, Bronco is having some angry 4x4 issues right now, luckily I have some good stove experience that I can use for trade work with the mechanic man. I also hate working on vehicles, always have.

Now a good 3" through the wall and then up with a 90 and cap is a horse of a different stripe, add in a few bags of just make the 1% cut and you have a fun time for all.

    3" 90 up 3' 90, 1 foot, 90 3 to 4" and up 18' and you have the starts of a real mess.

Went out today and found my truck with a flat front tire. I had an appointment so nothing I could do about it. Hate to see it sitting on the rim, but I have nothing I can do about it unless one of the boys come by, or if I call the insurance company. Haven't driven the truck for over a month. Starts up just fine.

Okay who invited winter! 8 degrees right now, with the wind chill feels like -6 degrees.:shiver: Have the stove rolling with Lignetcs, was going to switch to the jet fuel (Somersets) but the house is holding around 73. We had a bit of snow yesterday, and now everything is ice!

Yikes. -4 here this morning, with windchills hovering between -20 and -30. That's cold for NW OH. Both the CPM and the SCF are rocking along today.
