I prefer generic brand canned corn.......have you tried the frozen corn? I like the shoepeg frozen corn....it stacks pretty well.....

Regular corn works good… creamed corn causes clinkers…. drain at your own risk!

Getting cabin fever from being cooped up in Wisconsin this winter?

Burning food: bad idea. Burning corn: really bad idea. The smell will gag you. Try burning a bag of popcorn in the microwave and you will be looking to burn something else.
Out here in the wild west there are guys that burn hazelnut shells in pellet stoves pretty effectively. They can be had for cheap at the nut farms. I burned an old piano here in my old Earth Stove late last year. You wood be surprised how much heat there is on an old upright, the wood was nice and dense and dry as can be. It was free and already in pieces on CL. Might be hard to grind one up to stuff into a pellet hopper though. But, it would keep you busy during these cold polar vortices.

Over on the "other site" we had a woman in the Pacific NW ( I think Oregon) That burned 100% nut shells....she had 3 stoves and burned the shells in all of them.

Ah, the other site... I was banned by der Führer there long ago. Very few of us here on the west coast on this site according to the map. Nut shells here burn good though. Pellets are pretty cheap here ($200 a ton), and they are almost all premium low ash Doug fir, larch or hemlock. That would be another problem with burning corn; that is spendy heat if you buy it in the small cans.

Whatever for, just toss it in the hopper can and all, the stove likely has a metal deficiency having been fed onlywood pellets
