How do you thin out toddlers toys?

Let the purge begin! A large rubbermade tub of little toys and several large toys (duplicates) hidden in the garage. She hasn't asked for any of them back yet. They will go to goodwill eventually. More purging if we ever get the rest of old home unboxed.

Wildwest. My wife takes the child to their bedroom and explains to them a couple of times when she is making them clean and organize it that they have to decide which toys they are going to give away to a charity or church rummage sale that they use to raise money for the church. Or sell at our garage sale. Se usually has one each summer. The child is given time to decide for a week or two and then it gets done and put into the garage for the haul to wherever it is going. You will probably find it is easier on her than it is one you. LOFL!

Stinny. We here at the hoarder club heard that your better half needs more room for her stuff. (And she said she could use some nice new stuff too!:whistle:What was that Mrs. Stinny? Clothes?) So I took it upon myself to tell her she could purge some of "the kids" toys to Northern New York. I happen to have room for some of your toys. Doesn't matter if it has tracks or wheels. Either/or. I could even run up and trailer it back if need be.

We put a bunch in the basement after Santa stopped by. He hasn't noticed with all of his Christmas goodies so we're golden. He's also one. I bet it's tougher with an older child.
