My old Husqvarna 450 ! In for a routine check-up ! Miss this girl :(. This cleared a lot of multi-shoot Ash and Maple on my property. Even cleared where my pond now sits. Sold it to my brother ..... After i thought i needed more bigger better saws ! I miss the good old days when this was my only saw.... And that was just fine !! Think I might try and ger her back :) image.jpg image.jpg

I know what you mean. I had an 029 Super for about ten years... Then about a year ago I got the itch for a new saw. I found the chainsaw forums, and the rest is history!

Cool - nice to see your old saws again - is that a 20" bar on that saw? Cheers!

20" indeed. I had it on there so i didnt have to bend down so far . If it was ever buried the saw would say "BLAAAAA" ! But for normal 16" and down stuff it handled it quite well surprisingly !

My Dad has the 450 - I've been working on it for him - he said the chain kept falling off. Turns out he had wore the spur spocket WAY down, chewed up two new chains enough that they wouldn't fit in a bar groove any more, and had a broken chain brake. Installed the new sprocket and waiting on the brake to arrive. I couldn't salvage the two new lpx chains - I ground the burrs off the drive links, but there were some serious gouges - I think they would have done a job on the new sprocket. He likes to run dull chains with lots of tension.........but I still love him! Cheers!
