Wow, gas prices have taken a deep dive. But to be honest, it hasent changed my driving habits. There again, I'm the guy who hasn't put 10,000 on my truck I bought 6 years ago. (Used) I just can't see going someplace without a good reason. I did put some oil in the furnace should we need it. Wife and I not feeling good so I might not feed the stove as well as we have. Some people I know are thinking of driving on a vacation now that fuel is less $. You?
A couple dollars leftover at the end of the week. Spent at the grocery store on higher food prices. Not gonna retire any earlier because of it that's for sure.
I hate being in vehicles. I drive as little as possible. If prices keep going down i might start driving the truck more instead of the car.
Remember when gas was $4/gal about 7 years ago and grocery prices went up due to increased shipping costs. Everyone should go ask the owners of the stores when prices are going to come back down due to lower shipping costs...Watch them fumble and fart til they try to convince you that somehow it is different when the tide turns this way.
Should have an impact on pellet prices, but don't count on them being proportionant. They will tell you they were absorbing the cost from what should have been a better profit margin. Yes, I have had a lot of family exposure to retail sales.
Well, it appears the party may be coming to an end. I was in town after noon and on the way home saw the gas at $1.75. I just checked on the Internet and that same station, well, all of them in town are at $2.09. So perhaps we were at the bottom and now on the way up. As for driving, fortunately we aren't running to the city so much and not driving much at all. In fact, I filled the car with gas only once in December and then I think we were at a half tank. So the lower prices haven't really helped us much but I'm very happy for those who have to drive a lot.
Gas prices seem to have bottomed at $1.85 around here. One local seller has a worthwhile gimmick...on Thursdays they sell the mid-grade (89 octane) for the same price. Lower fuel prices haven't changed my driving habits. I only go when and where I need to
Gas $1.95 here in Omaha. Crude dropped to below $50/barrel. Are fuel oil prices coming down also? I heat 95% wood & 5% propane so I am out of the loop.
dont know, but the stock market sure took a hit today, they are saying it was mostly due to the price of crude. afraid to look at my 401k
Gasoline prices are essentially irrelevant to us these days. Wife and I now drive diesels for our every day cars. She drives a Jetta Sportwagen TDI and I drive a BMW 335d. One thing I found out last winter. When there is a cold winter and demand for heating oil spikes in the North East, diesel prices spike too, out of proportion to gasoline. It sucked paying over $4.50/gal for auto diesel last year. Thank goodness we are about $3.20 this winter.
How? Highest price for diesel listed in Wyoming on GasBuddy is $3.91 with offerings in Cheyenne and Laramie for sub $3.. Looks like the price for the summer driving blend is still a little higher than the winter blend..
