I already had over a dozen saws before I found my first Internet saw site. Joined up and bought 7 saws the next week and it has been downhill since.
It got ahold of me.. I strap rounds down to my chopping block and cover my driveway with chips and cookies with the new saw.. Now I'm looking for a top handle..
I do that several times a week, if not almost every day. I donate the cookies to my neighbor for shop heat and dump the chips out back in the ditch by the cart load. There is nothing wrong with me. I can stop anytime I want.
My ole man musta cut my umbrella-cull cord with a chainsaw. Ive never felt the need acquire. Had the same 2 saws for 14 years. The 066 must have a buhjillion board feet on it and still barks well. Eye duhno about this CAD.
It can start of innocently: - First you need a saw. - Then a back-up. - Well maybe a larger or smaller saw would be handy. - Then the saws that are literally given to you for repair/rescue for $25 or less. Me, nah I don't have CAD. After all I only have 9 running saws & a few project/parts saws.
Dont worry to much about it to much...... It could always be worse...Besides you're in good company...
Here are a few difinitions of what others have said CAD= Chainsaw Action Dependancy (if you like watching chainsawvideos) I likethis C = Chainsaw ~: Portable power saw; teeth linked to form an endless chain; A = Addiction ~: Being abnormally tolerant to and dependent on something that is psychologically or phisically habit-forming D= Disfunction ~: any disturbance in the functioning of an organ or body part or a disturbance in the functioning of a social group CAD (chainsaw acquisition disorder) is a disease you catch from hangin' around with other guys who already have the disease. The disease makes otherwise prudent people believe that they actually have a need for an unlimited number of chainsaws in various sizes and colors
