There are a couple of small lakes that they destroyed around here........ Neighbor down the road called the Sheriff caught them with two coolers stuffed full of bass from his pond on his private property. All the fish were dead and it completely ruined his pond fish wise.

I have always wanted to go there but just have never made it.

You need to get that thing down to the AEP District. (Old Ohio Power District) 500 ponds.

    You really aren't missing nothing......

Any good alternatives to anchor trolleys?

Certified 106, that's a nice looking set up. We have a couple of sit-on kayaks. Not so much for fishing as riding some of the local rivers...

I'm curious, what are the lakes like in Ohio east of I-77 and south of Canton? Fun to kayak on? Is the water clean? Are you allowed to swim?

Salt Fork is a great lake to checkout also! So many different areas to put in and the lake is so huge it's impossible to see it all in a weekend. There are some phenomenal spots to take kayaks that other boats can't get back into.

Anyone use anything other than an anchor trolley? I was considering the retractable dog leash option, but how do you fight the wind/current?

lethal dose, l I don't know if this would work on a kayak, but I have used this latch and roller on my john boat and it holds well. The tension on the rope pulls the spring loaded latch down more securing it nicely. Pull the rope in and up to release the latch. Once the anchor is up, let out a little rope to catch it again.
