Got the logs bucked today and the rounds stacked this morning. Here was the weapon of destruction Figured it would be a lot easier to buck the logs if I got the Kubota involved in the ordeal. IMHO the best attachment for a tractor is a FEL! I picked the long ones up and placed them on the big logs to buck. Moving rounds to the stacking area
I stacked the Elm over by the other dead standing wood as it was all less than 19% on the logs. I figure once it is split and in the shed it will be good for next year. Elm Stacked 2 rows deep. Plunders of the last two days ready for splitting
Quick video of the 555 cutting red oak. The bar is pretty much buried in the middle of the log and I was putting some pressure on it since the chain was on the second day of cutting. I find it amazing that it hold the rpms even with a 20" bar buried in oak. I no longer feel the need to go get the 460 to buck stuff like this that's for sure. The chain I was using isn't the fastest chain to begin with as it is Stihl RM. The saw feels completely different with RS chain on it and it is my chain of choice so far but the RS loop I have needed some sharpening.
I don't know cause I haven't maxed it out yet I am going with bogydave saying don't mind the mule load the wagon In all seriousness it pulls a lot especially when you chain up and lift the end of the log that you are pulling to put some traction weight on the rear of the tractor. All of those pieces were drug up out of a small ravine before towing them down the hill. The little kubota really is great for working in the woods with.
