Might pick one up for a "kicker stove" as it seems to be a screaming deal. Seems they sell for anywhere from 870-1150 when new. Sound abought right?
Always glad to hear from actual owners, though.

I wonder why that smaller stove is more money then some of the bigger ones?

 Bargains are the best! I had to contact Drolet direct for my pellet stove and they took good care of me.

Which pellets stove do you have WW? I used to have a drolet pellet stove, I forget the model but it was undersized for my house, that's why I moved onto a woodstove, should have probably put the pellet stove in the other fireplace and kept both.

We have an Eco-65. Its doing quite well even with the arctic weather lately. We also run a small wood stove insert. Actually, the Drolet ROCKS!

Well, I picked it up for $223 (I didn't have 225!) Hopefully, I will install it tomorrow morning after church and before prime rib!
I noticed that too, about the price compared to the larger models of Drolet..?? The guy I bought it form said it was around $400 or so when he bought it. Used it for less than 2 face cord. 99 doesn't like it yet, thinks it's too big! Shees-can't get much smaller, you know?

Did I misunderstand? The Drolet Eldorado on the internet shows $1,000 minimum, not to mention sales tax + poss shipping?

Yeah, i can't figure out why the stove is priced so high either...anywhere form 860 to upwards of 1180.

I just researched my brains out for our new pellet stove and wood stove insert, prices seemed similar in many brands (unless it was like a shop stove/non epa), or not the best reputation for quality &/or customer service.

As far as I can tell, Menards does not sell them any longer. There was one left at a Nebraska store that was deeply discounted but they would not ship it. It will still come up on their website's search and shows that it is sold in stores only. When the availability is checked, "0" stores have them.

The eldorado is installed and burning as of this morning. So far, I am not impressed with the performance of the unit at all. I've only had a small fire in it since this a.m. but I know the nc-13 would have run circles around it in comparison.
Before I installed it, I removed the door and all the firebrick for a thorough cleaning; cleaning the glass as best as I could. Also vacuumed out the top of the stove baffle trough the vent outlet as well as I could reach. Tipped the stove and shook it to get any loose debri within shot of the vacuum, also.
Underneath the stove, the air inlet box needed some attention as the holders that kept it in place had to be bent back around the bottom of the inlet box. Air inlet control operates as expected meaning it moves the position open and closed for the inlet air; however, I see no difference in performance during the operation of the stove whether the air inlet is open or closed. If this continues, I'll give drolet a call for tech support and any ideas they may have.
