From rain to snow = ice

Watched the fireworks in the rain.
About 1 AM changed to wet snow/rain,
Woke up this AM to 32°, fog & 1/4 " of ice on the driveway

Forecast is for cold weather, 14° tonight. :

Was headed out to see if it would scrap off.
Gotta remember where I put them .

 

Some areas scrap off some don't
Maybe if it warms up a couple degrees, more will come up.

 

Pure crap weather for sure. I hate ice. We are supposed to get a blast of that Sunday before it drops to -2f sunday night and hovers around zero all week.

 

Gonna be slick,
I may just spread some sand, hate to track it inside though.
Were headed for single digit temps.
"The norm", at least for a while.

 

Looks slippery. Supposed to rain all weekend here. I'm getting real tired of this warm rainy winter

 

The weather maps on TV show alot of places with ice now or soon. Have any ashes from the woodstove? Spread 'em lightly on the ice for traction. Better to have dirty shoes & floors than an injury, IMHO.

Getting sublimation on the driveway ice.
Few days of this dry cold , most of it will be gone, I hope.



Was a clear blue sky day, just short, & no heat from the sun.
In about 6 weeks , the sun angle will be high enough to have a little heat in it, that'll help.

Everything is an icy mess after the rain / snow the other night,
3:30. Sun's down, be dark soon

 

A little salt would be good

I mix some salt & sand & spread a little around,
Hawaii don't have this problem
