O.K. I'm going to vote for myself. I had a 28" dbh white oak tip over last spring and it took down a decent sized but already standing dead red oak on the way down. From this one tree I was able to harvest ~650 bd-ft of quartersaw white oak lumber from the main trunk, 5-6 loads of red and white oak fire in my friend's 2K dump trailer, and a cool cat tree. Here's the evidence. Plus it gave me an excuse to buy an MS461
Definitely top five for me. It was free and a high school football player told me to get out of the way and let him load it.
LOL I got exactly 5 loads this year, and they were are from exactly the same place, the only difference with them was that one load went to my brothers place, so that's the one I'd have to submit. Our firewood permits are free and downloadable off the internet, but in 34 years since I've been cutting firewood I haven't once been asked by anyone to see my permit. Our loads are generally all the same size as well, we load the truck up as full as it will go, which works out to just over a cord. I'm not sure exactly how much weight it is, but it's usually all dry pine and the old Ford 3/4 ton 4x4 always seems to handle it pretty well. My son's are wanting to do the bucking now which on one hand is great because bucking is always the thing that is hardest on my back, but like most fathers I worry about them hurting themselves with the saws, so I'll probably have to buy them some proper PPE. In the video below my youngest son is bucking with the little Poulan while I'm counting the nearby standing dead trees I'll be falling next time were out there.
