Probably about 30 miles but it's a time consuming 30 miles - drove through there once going to York. My scrounge was all interstate right off I270 in Maryland so it's not as bad as it seems.

No doubt. You'd like my buddies Dodge. He has a 5.9 pretty well tweaked out and the truck is nice. I like all the trucks.. Especially with glow plugs :D

Dont think this is as good as some of the guys posted but I cut all I wanted beginning of this year. Brought home enough to keep me busy for a long time. This was all Jan-Feb and the wood kept me busy through mid- late summer. The load with the logs I took three out like that. the locust had a few more truckloads too. January and February 2014 red oak, Norway maple and silver maple all free, including delivery. I split by hand so it took me until late spring to finish it all. About 8 cord of oak and 6 cord of silver maple and 2 cord or Norway. More pictures will be loaded when I can find the dang things!:ithappened: For me probably the score of a lifetime never to be duplicated.

Bobcat with forks! No problem at all, I cut and limbed, he loaded logs and pushed brush into a pile.

My neighbor had a dead Burr Oak standing on the corner of his section that blew over a couple summers ago. The bottom 20' was rotten and some of the branches were starting to get punky on the outside but not bad. Got the last of it hauled home this week. Right now have 3 cords split and stacked, with about a half cord left to go. Best thing is it should all be ready to go next year- highest moisture reading has been 21%!!! image.jpg The bins in the background hold about 1/3 cord tossed or 1/2 cord stacked.
Biggest problem was could only get to the tree with the ATV. Had to noodle all the big rounds to load them. image.jpg Diameter was about 44" as was cutting with a 20" bar and couldn't make it through with a pass on each side.

    44" , 3-1/2 cord in one tree

    Nice Score

    20" is a big tree here , 6 to 7 trees for a cord

Not sure if it counts as a score lol but I did 20+ cords this year not including the cost of new tools and toys I only spent around 25 bucks in permit and gas and oil
But my greatest score was finding the perfect tree to use as a center beam in my house (bear with me I am remodeling) image.jpg
    image.jpg
Lower part is from the same tree almost perfect spacing through the floor to match how the tree really was
