... if we all swapped it around the forum... prolly only take til lunch for each member to drop, limb, stack enough for life.
Maybe we all should start a FHC "logging company" on paper... go to a distributor and get them to let us "try" that rig for about a month... then, we'll let em know if we want to buy it later...
The remote camera quality is amazing. Both of these vids show a perty important thing, in addition to watching an incredible machine... the 2 guys running it. The 1st vid shows the operator quickly getting to the next tree without hurting the head's gear. 2nd vid shows why only a very experienced operator would be allowed on that slope... you really see it when he's traversing and swings the head uphill so he doesn't roll the machine. I can't even imagine the expensive sounds that thing would make as it tumbles down a hill like that... Anybody know how many mortgages that thing is worth?
I'll bet an old Oliver 1950 with a Jimmy could pull both them shiny tractors around the barn a few time and not even breath'n hard. At least you could hear the Ollie runnin if it couldn't.
Those girls weigh a ton or 10. They don't make them to pull like those anymore. Now all they seem to care about is spinning a shaft in the 100hp chassis.
Ya think? I don't even know what my old 1750 with a 283 gasser weighs but I got 8 weights stacked on the front that are about 90 pounds a piece. Theres a lot of pig iron in these old Ollies. I cant imagine farming with a 2 stroke diesel just a screamin at you all day. But it has to get done don't it?
