My lovely wife let the stove go completely cold today while I was at work. When I asked her why she said hmm oh yeah it is a little chilly in here. She was in the office room all day on the computer with a little space heater blowing on her and hadnt paid any attention to the stove:mad: I guess thats not really to much of a bad thing though since I reloaded the stove at 430 this morning and she hadnt noticed the house cooling off until around 530 this evening. The problem is that as soon as I got home we had to leave for dinner and the house has gotten even cooler so now Im having to start a new fire and wait for the house to warm up again:shiver::fire:

It happens. I've been known to do an impromptu "oven self clean" cycle in times like that

Yep that stinks, but could have been worse. It take a few minute to warm up now, but you'll get to enjoy the fire...

Yeah no point in fussing it wasn't a big deal just a minor inconvenience that I was able to come here and gripe about.

Had that happen many times. I don't even bother wasking why anymore, I just give her a look and walk away...
Working the stove is no more work than putting some dirty dishes in the dishwasher of walking to the mailbox and back.
    ok, done venting...good thread :)

My wife does really well with the stove. Mostly because she doesn't have a choice. I only fill the 250 gal propane tank once a year ;)
