LOL Was feet first but on my back got to the bottom , feet don't reach, don't bend that way like I used to twisting around & pulled something in my right shoulder. Never told the wife why I need the sling other than a firewood injury. On my fat belly feet first might work but not gonna try it again. LOL
!! Now, tell me how you insulate, seal, support, and close off the chute from the outside temps/weather?
Cut a fairly tight fitting oblong, angled hole for the pipe, screwed the pipe from the inside into the insulated frame. filled the area around the pipe with "the good stuff " expanding spray insulation foam. (acts like glue too) Cut 2" blueboard, snug fit & glued it to the inside & outside covers. Can see some of the foam around the pipe & the blueboard insulation : Can see some of the screws :
Thanks, Bogy! Knew if I kept pestering you, I'd get you to explain about it again! (I'm sure you have already) Is it 12" PVC then? And that's for sure about spray foam insulation acting like glue!!
Thats an awsome idea. I need to put one in. Not sure how i am going to do it yet. Right now i throw it through the window to the basment. Messy.
