I'll bet there's enough of a difference with drying time too. Barkless lets moisture out quicker.
Bark side up when piling, doesn't matter going into the furnace.

Not to hijack this post with dog stuff but yes it is a pure breed Brittney. It is a long story but the dog was dumped out here in the flatlands of my neck off the woods this spring and some how found its way to my hooch in a driving rain storm. He is a she and is a God send for my wife who was wanting a dog ever so badly after we had to put our old Lab down. Why any one would dump this doggie is a mystery to me as she is house broke, very well behaved and just wants to love and be loved. Folks who dump critters out here are on my chit list cuz I don't consider them folks to be human beings. Rant over.

Butcher has the feel good post of the year in my eyes. I know, I'm new, but what a story.

Sounds like you found each other.

From one Lab and Brittany owner to another:)

Good on you with the brit, I have had several over the years before they became so popular, all were smart as whip, loyal as sin and very protective of family members. Great hunters as well. The last one adopted my daughter, when she was born, as his own- no outsider could mess with her with out answering to him- 55 lbs of pure spring steel. Yes, he was a very large Brit. for the breed.
