    Ranking the best QBs is such a subjective endeavor.

    I'm from NE and a Pats fan so the Brady/Manning comparisons are always coming up.

    Personally I'd take Brady over Manning any day. Even in the two SB that Brady lost it was very close. If one or two plays had gone the other way Brady would easily have five rings instead of three. brady did not lose those games for the Pats.

    No question that Elway was good but as long as some other things were popping up I thought I'd take the opportunity to state that he did not look so good in his first SB appearances. There was joke going around:

    Question: How many Broncos does it take to change a tire?
    Answer: One. However, if it is a blowout, the whole team shows up.

    And I always wondered if there perhaps was something wrong between the coach and Payton? But then perhaps the coach figured he'd have more chances and would let him have it. It was sad to see such a great man not get that chance.


    Now what about those Detroit Lions? It is very difficult to believe after all these years that they could have a team that good. Was it their schedule? Luck? Or is there lots of skill in those alethetes and a good coach? I'm still not a believer but do remember 1957. That was a long time ago... Too long.

    Bradshaw's career numbers arent anything special. Without the SB wins he wouldnt of even sniffed a HOF QBs jockstrap. 51% completion percentage, 212 td's to 210 ints, just shy of 28000 yards

    Namath is another guy with chit stats who's somehow a HOFer.

    Well, they have had several years of top draft picks,
    you'd think they'd have the talent.

    Got to learn how to win.
    Stop the dumb penalties.
    Stop the cheap shots , like stomping on & kicking the other teams offensive linemen.
    That comes down to coaching.

    I didn't see the Broncos game yesterday but all the sports guys on the radio today are saying how weak he looked and that he looks like he doesn't have it anymore. there's a lot of speculation as to whether or not he'll retire but I see him hanging in for at least one more year.

    Brady on the other hand looks like he's got at least three more years in him. He hasn't had the neck injuries that Manning has had and he just looks younger and fresher at this point in time.

    I like Manning, but he looked terrible yesterday. Throwing wounded ducks compared to the darts Luck was throwing...they had absolutely nothing on them. I think it may be time for him to hang up the spurs.

    First let me say I'm not a fan of either of the Manning brothers. The NFL has done everything they can to make these two into something they are not.

    Payton on the one hand has more of a Marino history. Good in season and then just craps out. I'm very happy that Luck and his former team beat him at home.

    Eli on the other hand is more like a Terry Bradshaw. With the proper tools around him, he's an average QB. Yes he's been on two winning Super Bowl teams. However; it's never been about his stellar QB performance. Much like Bradshaw. Yeah I know this will not go over well with some. Let me explain my view on Bradshaw. Without a crapy throw, the immaculate reception never happens. The Steeler's at the time had an outstanding defense. On the offensive side, they had two running backs and great wide receivers. Both the offense and the defense hid the fact that he was an average to below average QB. Eli is the same way. The Giants won the first Super Bowl at the end with a catch on the helmet. That is not a good QB, it's a dam lucky one.

    I've always said that Romo will never win a Super Bowl. Contrary to popular belief he chocked in that game. Which is did the last time they were in the playoffs and everyone thought they were the team to beat. Never mind the over turned catch on the 1. Yes that changed the outcome, but Romo wasted several other chances against a team with a QB operating at 75%.

    I don't know who will go to the Super Bowl from the AFC. On the NFC side I suspect it will be Seattle again. That said, I don't know if either AFC teams can handle Seattle.
