Still raining ain't got nuthin done today. Wish the ground would freeze so I could get the tree in the neighbors yard and some standing dead trees in my wife grandparents yard.

Grabbed some eggnog and the movie "Holiday Inn" and headed over to watch it with my mom. A fun start to Christmas time.

I took the wife and kids to my parents for dinner last night. My Mom had it planned out and the wife and her and the kids baked and decorated ginger bread man cookies. Kids had fun with icing and candies and stuff. My father and I B.S.ed for a while and then we all had dinner. Then a fire in their nice old fireplace. I should take a picture of their old fireplace they have in their house. The house was built in the late 1890's. Beautiful woodwork throughout and the fireplace and mantle is gorgeous. A good time had by all.

Today will depend on the weather. Maybe get a chance to cut some wood but I am doubting it because of the likelihood of rain. First up after breakfast will be bringing some wood in. Basement is getting low. Maybe I will split some of the standing dead White Pine I cut up yesterday. Some of it is dryer than my seasoned wood. The top half of those trees get so dried out it is nice when you can burn that instead of your better stuff. With these mild temps it does not take many BTUs to keep the place warm.
