Huskies/jred are skinnier and more nimble for this (video) purpose. The balance point is better so the saw naturally flops from side to side when limbing. Hence why they roll over on hills or unflat ground.

The rev boost on the 550xp and 562xp are strictly for thinning and limbing.

All RevBoost does is temporarily raise the rev limit programmed into the ignition system for short periods of time. Good for cutting small limbs like in the photo.

Google it. I can't explain it. It's a husky term to make the rpms instantaneous

One of the main difference between the 545 and 550xp. The 545 doesn have it.

And the 555 and 562xp the 555 doesn't have it. Something with the coil and carb setting. There is absolutely no hesitation so when you are limbing a tree like this (constantly on throttle the. Off then back in again). The 545 and 555 don't have this feature. Most people won't notice the difference as they don't use this kind of technique. They just cut firewood.

That's how they all do it in Europe. You can tell from the felling bar the helper was using. Not too many of those in the US. You ever watch one of the European limbing competitions? Its downright scary!

Apparently they also use crank stuffers on the rev boost models. Lowering crankcase volume to increase throttle response. Similar to a hybrid 440/460 in it effectively trades off a scosche of torque for throttle response.

He could have REALLY showed us a thing or 2 if he only wouldn't have been usin one of those lousy, terrible side balance, not what a 50cc saw should be Stihl's.
