Yes, nicotine is a poison. Definitely a good idea to keep juice away from children & pets.

The kind I bought has 5 chemicals vs over 4000 in ciggs.

Exactly right, I smoked for over 20 years sometimes up to 2 packs a day ( if i went out drinking after work, another vise I still have), There were many times I tried to quit so started using the gum, than the patch. neither one worked for me as I think deep inside I did not want to quit
Than one day in Jan of 2002 I said the hell with it and threw my pack of camels in the trash, have been smoke free ever since

I'm about to join you guys. Been a pack a day smoker since I was 14.

I bought my first e cig the other day. Still had a couple packs of smokes left so I have been slowly weening down. I got 5 smokes left today and I will start using my e cig. I didn't want to spend much in case it didn't work for me. I bought the markten for $8 bucks. Looks like a real smoke. Rechargable and has replacement tips. They only have 2.5% in regular and methol. I'll look into a better unit once I see if this is enough. I also grabbed some nic gum and mints JIC.

I hope this works as nothing has in the past. But I also liked smoking and didn't have any of the long term effects. I am starting to get the warning signs of COPD. Its time!!

People know nicotine is poisonous but don't realize it's about 2x more toxic than strychnine, most people don't think about it that way.

Time for my rant... You will quit when you want to and not before. My inner libertarian stands up and yells get out of my life any time people preach what you should do with your life. I chewed and smoked at the same time. It was when I was ready to quit that I quit. I feel you should have the right to choose to smoke and as long as you do it in a respectful way anywhere you want. Dont tell me I can't on my property but if I say no on my property that means no. I believe in people's rights and personal choice. Feel free to do a belly flop into a pool of aids infected goat urine in your backyard, just don't get any on me.

Started using mine today, Doesn't totally kill the craving. But it does fight it. I also tried the gum(yuk) and mints. I like the mints too.

Pretty sure between the 2, I can do this!!

I've tried 6 or so different e-cigs from the looks like a cig to the separate atomizers. I eventually get tired of them or the flavors are too sweet.
within the past few weeks I've been trying the patches, which has gotten me to 1/2 pk a day, tried substituting some gum but man that stuff gives me indigestion.

Ive tried the gum and patches, with no luck. Its only been 2 days, but I haven't touched a cig thanks to this vape. My goal for now is keep lowering the nicotine levels until none are needed. If I was on patches, or cold turkey, it would not be a happy holiday........ im doing ok so far amazingly.

The hardest part imo about quitting smoking is that intense urge that comes up. I still get it even with the vape. It is about a 20 minute ride. Even if you are doing the cold turkey thing if you can make it through that 20 minute portion of I NEEED I NEEED you will feel better. It just sucks that tobacco is SO available. That makes it tough....

My vape is still helping, slowly cutting back. Only had two cigs today after having my beers.

Been using 2 so far. The one on the right is very comparable to a Marlboro red and the one on the left is a coffee flavored. Starts off with a hazelnut flavor and ends with a French vanilla flavor with a touch of tobacco flavor, to simulate drinking a coffee with a morning smoke. It's amazing the store near here what they have. Apple pie, cherry tobacco, whiskey, etc, lol.

I just hit this thread, good info.
I'm a pack-a-day, ready to quit. My wife smokes also, she's not ready to quit. I know it will be really tough for me to quit with her still smoking, but it's her choice. If I could get away with chewing at work, that would help. But I chew Levi, so I need a spitoon all the time and that can be a turn-off when dealing with some people.
Tried patches- meh. Tried a crappy E-cig- meh. Any ideas?
