These are my tools that save me money which in return make me money.I save at least 300 a month not having to pay the gas man.For me good tools are hard to get and the more I use them they get attached. That being said I will not giving up Dolkita and Neither of the 346xp.But one is going to Mastermind for a vacation:banana:
I also Won't be parting with the husqered 65(jonsered 2065 and husky 365 special) as my son and I call Frankie we built together.Did a little port work on it and deleted the base gasket on it.I have a thread on somewhere on here called it the husqered 65.

    I'll sell any of em.

Saws are just a way to make money to me.

That said.......some are gonna be priced high enough that they probably would never sell.

Well it is a hobby and just like any kind of hobby collecting is part of it. Being a collector then if I sold one I would just end up buying another so then why sell it in the first place. But that is just me and I am sure many others are the same.

mine would be two saws I can't get rid. One is the first saw I bought and still own after using it for the first year of its life at work.. the boss bought new saws every year as a tax writeoff and to keep equipment up to snuff and sold me two. i only wanted one, but had to buy both. It was a 365 special that I used daily, and the backup was a regular 365. It never got used because it had carb issues from day one (zama). It got a walboro carb and sold. The special now has a 372 topend on it. That saw made me tons of money selling firewood while in the tree business and afterwards. Its cut at least 5 cord a year since it was bought (used), and four years where it averaged 80 cord a year. the oil pump worm gear wore out and that's how I found all those saw sites because the local stihl dealer said they could fix it for 150ish.. (no supporting husky dealer at that time) and I had 400 in a pair of 365's and couldn't justify spending that to fix it. the case is nicked, the plastic has been changed, but the original topend looks new inside, original crank and bearings.. the carb was changed when I did the ported 372 topend. its had a couple of cylinders on it along the way as I learned some trial and error on porting. Its still my primary all around saw. I'd post a pic, but the muffler looks like hammer dog chit after years of use and getting tossed around.

The other is my late uncles 046 dual port mag. its ugly, its been beat and t runs good. He got me into the saws and tree work. He taught me how to run a saw, how to fell a tree and a whole bunch of other important life aspects. I rarely use that 046, but still couldn't part with it.

I wouldn't sell my 61 - great older friend and neighbor gave it too me - when I see/use it, I think of him - will be a shelf saw when it's finally done. I'm also attached to my 262xp - love that saw. The others could go if I get the itch to change the line-up. Cheers!

I had a 1974 Homelite XL150 Auto as my only saw for 24 years. The saw itself always ran and never broke down. But it sure would make my hands sting. I eventually let it go.

Since then, I have acquired a selection of popular saws. All of these were stumble upon items of opportunity. They had to have good reputations or I passed.

They are all good for what they are . . .

It's hard to beat the Stihl 026, 036, & 066 and their successors as well as the 346 and 372 Husqvarna series.

A chainsaw is just a tool to me and they all have a price. I have had some dandy keepers too, just other folks liked them way more then me.
Only saw I wouldnt sell would be family saws handed down.

Yes......I'll NEVER sell or trade my old Stihl 041AV Super. With its loud-as-heck Overkill DP muffler and vintage Jeep leaf spring bucking spikes, it's my signature saw. I've felled hundreds upon hundreds of trees with that old girl, she's bucked more cord than I could even count. Still starts on the second or third pull EVERY TIME I use it, and pulls a 28" bar with full tooth/full chisel chain all day long...

    She's here to stay.....

She's been with me way too long to. She needs some new av buffers and I'm also going to give her a carb overhaul this winter, I'm going to build a twin to her as well. Maybe send that one to Tennessee for a "massage".
