The old shredded wheat "big biscuits?" Anyone else ever eat them hot? Put them in melmac, cover with milk and a little sugar and toss in the oven? Can anyone guess what is on my woodstove right meow?
We always had them in the house when I was a kind. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to them-- I haven't seen them in stores in 20 years!
I remember them. They came in a waxy bag. Its been many years. As a kid I remember pretending I was a cow eating hay when I ate that! Smiling now, thanks for the memory!
My father (1942) was thrilled as a kid during hard times to eat popcorn with milk and salt or honey in his childhood.
heck yeah! LOVED those things, shredded wheat, used to eat a couple with milk in the morning occasionally would eat them dry
Sometimes hard to find the plain un frosted ones,always liked them though.Great for a snack or light evening meal.Never did stay with me for breakfast,less than 2hrs later I was hungry again.
Here you go, they are still around. We used to pour a bit of hot water on them to soften them up. Then add sugar and milk. Better with some fruit if there was any available. Not much fresh fruit available when I was a kid so we used raisins during the winter.
