I'd put a few extra dollars to it and get a new MS362.

Great saw, I'm pretty sure that's about what they sold for new. They are worth about $400 give or take in mint condition.

I sure wouldn't pay that much for one. Great saws, though! Honestly, I think I would probably take one over the new gen saw if they were next to each other on the shelf. I'm not a fan of the 'fatter' saws. They do run good with the MT, and yes they're smooth. But, I like the smaller size of the 036/360.

Still, if I was desperate for one, $450 would be my max on a really clean one.

    Some good advice above.

$649 is double the market median. Look for another saw.

The 036 & 360 Pro are classics of all time on my list. But there are other 60cc class saws you may like just as well?

I sold a MINT MS360 last year or the year before for 350. It had almost zero use on it, but some ran straight gas through it. It still have the bar code sticker on it that was brand new. I put a new topend and gave it a port and a buddy gave me 350 after I tried getting 400 for 3-4 months. They are only getting older, which means more things to break and wear out. for the money you are looking at, get a MS361, MS362 or husky 555/562xp

The 034 super is basically the same saw.

I would buy new for that cost an 036/360 will fetch $400-$450 if it's in NOS shape.

But $300-$350 is average. Even for very clean models.

If your going to spend $650? You can buy a brand new 555 for that, and pit money back in your wallet. :)

I really appreciate all the advice. I'm going to go to the dealer on Monday. I think I'll just go new. Ive been reading on the 660 and May opt to go over kill. I've been harvesting some really big oaks and just want the option to run the 25 inch plus bars.

661 would be overkill...not that there's anything wrong with that.

the 660 is a ton of weight to lug around for just a 25" bar... a 441 or 461 would be faster and lighter, not to mention cheaper... that's a huge saw compared to a ms 362

I would have serious reservations about buying a new 660 at this point. The 661 is showing up on dealer shelves now and it's a far better saw by many accounts.

This. I'd wait for the 661

    Or, get a 441 now and a 661 later :D

One of my favorites, if I can find another 034/036 for a decent price I will probably hold on to it. Im guilty of either grabbing my 550 or 372 more often than not. I paid $425 for a mint 360 from a dealer a while back, and sold it for what I had in it when it was time to let it go.
