Nope, he didn't say his dog died, or that his wife left him...

Glad it turned out funny. My SIL bought a ATV and of course knew all there was about driving one...until she put her foot on the ground and hit the throttle. The ATV did what they're supposed to do and crawled right up the back of her leg.

The saw, the firewood, the throttle and Dennis are all okay. We cut a couple more loads of wood today. Wife did not help this morning but was with me this afternoon. We actually got a bit over 2 1/2 loads and that is the most we've done in a day so far this year. Still lots to do and I haven't dropped a tree yet. I will be dropping what is left of at least one tree and it is a pretty decent size. I like those bigger ones because the wood pile grows much faster than it does when you are cutting the small stuff.

I think there's more than I few times I'm glad there were no cameras around...
I took a ride down a ladder while re-siding the house years back. Working on the back porch to fit a piece under the upstairs window the ladder slipped on the decking and I rode it to the ground...while hoping the upper rungs didn't go through the new sliding door I had installed just beneath me. The rung burned a slit in the screen but left the glass un harmed and left me on my azz in some modest "you idiot pain" o_O

Bad as the time I tried to teach my 3 year old to use the throttle on my 4 wheeler. He was doing real good and then just gassed it towards the fence. Imagine me hitting every half worn out brake on that thing, him letting off suddenly and me going arse over elbows over him and the handle bars cause I was standing up. Somehow landed on my feet running.

Or how about that time my granddaughter wanted to take the atv for a ride? Okay, but I'll have to go with you to make sure you can handle it. I get on behind her and the next thing you know, she hits the throttle full blast! Guess who was not ready for that one?

Probably would have thrown him in front of a city bus so he would be the cities problem and not slow her down too.
