It's a 1977 three-wheeler with a twin OMC motor, 1500 lb. capacity, hydro dump body, and three forward gears with high/low ranges. They were pretty abundant a number of years ago when there was a stink about the dangers of three-wheel atv's and golf courses switched to four wheelers.
We had a smaller three-wheeler with the OMC twin, Still have a larger three-wheeler with a Kohler Magnum Twin (not sure if it's original or not), and we still have a four-wheel truckster with the 3 cyl (although it's hurtin bad now) and a 3 wheel truckster 3 cyl with a sprayer mounted.
Those machines you have are awesome. The only downside to the 3 wheel turf truckster is the lack of ground clearance in the woods.
That's nifty, I might have to build something like that for when I split at the woodpile. I just started putting the foot of my splitter right a the end of the tail gate when I'm splitting. I use it as a table for splits and queuing rounds. I've been wondering why I hadn't thought of it sooner. The little Speeco add on table doesn't hold very much but it is handy.
We do that as well but tend to put the table between the tailgate and the splitter. Gives the stager more room for setting up rounds.
Unfortunately they are all succumbing to the lack of reasonably priced replacement parts, especially for the OMC engines. The sprayer truck is absolutely mint too, but the engine quit this year and I think the mechanic there is about ready to dig a hole for it out back.
Yikes! Don't do that - I'll take it for parts. I know what you mean about parts availability. The one or two places that have them want stupid money for them.
Thanks Pete. It wasn't so good looking when I got it with the paint flaking off and all. I had no projects on the bench and the weather was bad so I sandblasted the tank and re-painted it. My wife thinks I'm a moron
