You guys believe what you want...but all I know is that product is going out the door as fast as we can bag it...probably had 10 dealers call me today wanting to know when they could get more DFir....prices won't back up until manufactures start to have some inventory build up...and that won't happen regardless of what oil did till the spring or early summer. I'm pretty sure every other manufacturer that services the NE market is in the same boat...If we have a really warm winter and oil is about $8-$10 lower than we are now...it could make for an interesting spring...but only time will tell.....but as far as the market right now....from where I sit, business is still very good and dealers seem to be selling pellets as fast as they hit their yards....I certainly not hearing anyone complain anyways.....but what do I know....PROPAIN is the expert.
It has been a little warmer. Oil has tanked, has heating oil tanked along with it? Propane is still ridiculous...... I am hoping people gave up on their stoves and turned on the oil. Cheap Craig's list stoves come spring
Lowe's in my area has Green Supreme and Maine's choice. HD has Heatrs. TS has Ts brand MWP bar code, North American and lignetics wood pellets
Boxes have plenty of pellets, a lot cheaper and some better than what you or the dealers can provide. No shortage, this is not an opinion. Perhaps if you were to sit in the area in which you pellets are sold you would see some of the piles, brands and prices.
Only stating what I see, Gas prices dropping. Crud oil dumped, Oil prices falling too and its warmer than expected. Most importantly Piles at the boxes are growing. Very similar to the 08 season IIRC. I almost have room for another ton, Taken longer than I expected. But it could be a good thing. I might see prices drop? Don't know for sure. But if the stack's keep getting bigger and they wanna move em.
Actually not all Boxes have plenty...It's really a store by store case...and the boxes have been cheaper than I have been for the 6 years that I have been selling product back there...yet my business has doubled for the last three years and will double again next year....so maybe ...this might be a stretch for you, but price isn't the only factor for some people buying pellets. I will leave it to those that burn my pellets to determine whether they are better pellets or not and from where I sit isn't a factor if I sell pellets or not. My phone works just as well here as it would if my cute little butt was sitting back there. Its a very large market in NE that will consume over 2 million tons of product projected this year... Let me ask you PROPAIN....do you have an issue that I sell from here in AZ yet my main market is NE?....it seems to bother you.....
Not in the least. I couldn't care less where you operate from or what price your pellets are. Your pellets are good, but there are very similar if not better pelletes available cheaper. Our original disagreement was the fact that you said there would be a shortage all year. I said I thought it would let up come December. You even made a remark about how I am entitled to my opinion even though it would be wrong. Well here we are in December and I have never seen so many pellets around, ever. So it seems to me the shortage is none existent, which you are unwilling to admit.
Where do you live?.....cause I have plenty of dealers in NE who still have either no pellets in their yard or massive holes in their inventories....but I guess that doesn't count....again you are entitled to your opinion about better pellets for a cheaper price. That is subjective...with lots of factors that determine what is or isn't a good/bad pellet in any given stove... Maybe pellets will back up at some time this season ...but I haven't seen that yet and if you want to see for yourself, you are more than welcome to park your butt at the end of my plant's driveway and see what is coming and going each day... So I guess we are just going to agree to disagree...
Where is your store? I am in southern mass, also known as the pellet capital of New England. Sounds like I am not to far away. PM me the location please.
