So boiled up beeswax linseed and turpentine and coated winter clothes(probably lost a lot of people here!) and cut up the rest of a mulie and wrapped for freezer.Out of beer,so may have to go to town tommorrow.Snowing lightly, temp went from 47 to 25 and seems to want to stay there.

Well in the old days(before me)it was all oilskin,In the 60's people quit using the salts and lead in oilskin treatment, and the mostly wax treatment came out(my cub scout days). If you wash(machine) a wax garment.all treatment comes out.You hose off and brush. If you do it lightly, you only have to retreat every few years.Otherwise treat every year.

Better day today. Sun trying to poke through now and then. At least no snow or icing today.
Want to set up our tree today, all 3.5 ft. of it! Would like to put up a regular size one but this one is more manageable. Wife is under the weather this weekend. Some double ended GI thing.
Are you folks ready for Christmas? I've got just a few gift cards left to get. Bought some clothing from Duluth Trading to give away. Got 20% off and free shipping, no tax. That will take care of the men folk. The girls got stuff from QVC. Also free shipping. Value pay so it doesn't hit so hard. Grand kid, older ones get gift cards, younger ones get toys.
Wife will be making gift baskets with cookies, Chex mix and candies, one basket for each person.
