Yes, I broke down and bought a 28-ton DHT splitter this year. I used to do everything with a few mauls.

Being I live in CO and DHT is in CO, I drove right to their warehouse and picked it up. Sale??,,, They sold it to me for a lot less then you can buy them at a retail place like lowes or home depot, or online like at logsplittersdirect or powerequipmentdirect has them advertised for. I was told by the guy I dealt with at DHT not to spread the word of what I paid, I guess they dont make a regular practice of selling right to Joe public. I probably should not even be talking about it,,,

Oh yeah, it has been easy to keep warm lately. I don't have a regular woodlot, just scrounge wood out of friends and family. I burn about three cord a year, so it's not to hard to come up with.

There was still room to get another 6-7 rounds in the row right up front, by the back window. (you can kind of see in this pic) But it was almost dark and my daughters wanted to get home, for dinner!

Thanks, they go everywhere with me, literately!! Unless they are in school.

They are 6 & 8 years old, today I let the older one drive the last 3 miles to the wood lot, I must say she did good, but the younger one is a better driver.

I live in the middle of nowhere and it's completely flat here, it 's all gravel road from our house all the way to the wood lot. I sat in the middle and ran the peddles. We did not even see one car or truck on the way there, averaged about 35 MPH the whole way, while she drove.

They like being with me as they know they will always do something fun and exciting!!

Awesome . I remember my dad letting me drive up the driveway when I was little. Is that truck an automatic?

yes it's an automatic. That truck is the best (or some of the best) $200 I ever spent. Bought it off an ex cop a few years back. Only really use it for cutting firewood. Cost just under $32 a year for insurance. I've done nothing to it other then gas, oil and fix one flat tire. Don't care if it gets a scratch in it or what not,,, perfect firewood truck.

Great deal, it's a neat looking old truck. Looks like it's earned it's keep with all that wood. Wish my insurance was 32 bucks a year! Got it tagged as a farm truck or something? That's crazy cheap

no just regular tags. Insurance lady said , price is because of my muti vehicle discount (more then one truck on that policy) my clean driving record and the age of the truck. She said if I took that truck off of my policy it would save me, less then $32 a year.

Borrowed the dump trailer, scored 3 cords for $300. Mostly locust, with some cherry, walnut, maple, and possibly a piece of balsa? (This is trip 1 of 2.) IMG_20141213_144959.jpg
