Not looking to win the beauty contest, made this a couple weeks ago with scrap PT I had on hand. My first sawbuck lasted 6 years so not bad but time for an upgrade.

Stolen... Errrr.... Borrowed.... Errr inspired! By the likes of MasterMech and basod this is my version that could use some improvements but worked fine for today.

They work wonders for bunches of limbs is what I like about them.
No more picking up pieces all over the place all in one area - and chain is out of the dirt

I guess you've got enough bar to compensate for the variable width when you get it full;)
I need to add an elevated cross crib to mine at the base like you have there - consider the idea re-borrowed

I find with too big of a pile of branches on the sawbuck, the saw can get pinched a bit sometimes... Your saw get pinched alot?

That rig must be a huge time-saver. The stacks (and stacks and stacks) in pic 1 look impressive. There are alot of great ideas here on FHC.

I made it wide enough to cut easily with the 25" bar minus dawgs, so about 18" wide. The downside of being so tall is that it is kind of awkward to load.

The "elevated cross crib" is something that is a must. I ran out of 2x4s and used a 2x6" for the bottom and I am glad I did. Already cut it even with the spacers.

No pinching yesterday, but I think that plays into where your supports are placed with respect to the cut size. I have green marks down below to tell me where to cut.

After using it... It is THE way to cut limb wood but the bigger guys are probably best in the conventional X sawbuck.

Thanks for the compliments, and please steal the idea as I already have!

No doubt about it that it helps with cutting the smaller stuff.
