Log Tongs came today

    Good question,
    never saw that on the spec sheet.
    Though, probably not to be used for towing logs. :)

    I'd like to make a tripod with the crank cable winch (came with the basic crane set-up I power with a 12 volt winch). I was wondering if that size tongs you have might be rugged enough to lift logs. Thinking, maybe not. I have a set of skidding tongs, but they're pretty long, and that will mean I'll have to make the tripod taller than I'd like. The tripod might work well to lift logs onto my skis, in the winter. That rope and pulley thing worked last year, but it was way too much time for such a small/short lift.

    These log tongs were not designed for lifting that kind of weight.
