    Long Dark days of winter are on us.
    Check your pulse rate, should slow down this time of the year,
    Be careful when pulse rate gets higher when reading some posts,
    It's the 1st, #1 sign of "cabin fever " :)

    We had such a heavy cloud cover with rain this morning that it was as dark as 4:00 pm on a winter night. Nothing like your dark days though.

    Would love to Snow bird some day,
    10 million ducks & geese cant' be wrong. They leave in Oct come back in May. :yes:

    Official (no mts in the way) 10:04 sunrise , 3:41 sunset
    Solar noon: 5.9° above the horizon @ 12:53

    Dec 21st
    Rise 10:14 set 3:42
    with a 5.5° angle above the horizon at solar noon

    4:15 now almost dark.
    by 4:30 it's dark till the moon &stars comes up
    Snow on the ground helps a lot :)
    15 more minutes only because clear sky & snow reflect some light:

    The white full spectrum lights help brighten it up.

    Important to be busy & not notice it's dark for so long.
    FHC helps lots :)

    I especially like it when the longest darkest days are accompanied by a 5 day nor'easter that sits and spins rain, sleet, ice snow and slush:confused:

    Wow Dave, sunrise at 10am.... I knew the days are short up there but that's crazy.

    How late does the sun set in July? Thats the part I think would bug me... trying to sleep in broad daylight.

    Catch up on the sleep we lost thru summer with the long daylight. LOL :)
