Didn't get started on any wood until around 1:30 today due to bushogging and relocating 2 stands. Did get three trailer loads cut with dad though.

Last trailer load of the day. Forgot to get pics of the other two. Dad ran the 460 most of the day and loves it. IMG_20131116_150916_182.jpg

Nice work certified. What supply are you working on? Year wise?

The hinge worked perfectly and the tree dropped right where I was planning so I was happy. With the hinge like that it stayed up off the ground which made bucking a cinch.

Yes it does! This stuff didn't have to many knots in it so it shouldn't be as bad as some I have split.

460 is awesome! First thing I noticed is it was a little heavy but that is all made up by how awesome that thing cuts. Rips right through those big rounds.

I am sitting on about 18 cords give or take a few depending on what Dad needs. So by the time I finish splitting this stuff from today plus the pile I have in my yard I should be around 20 or 22 cords. Should put me right at 5 years ahead maybe a bit more than that since dad now has free gas on his property.

Yeah I have been limbing with my 450 and then switching to the 460. I agree its crazy. How fast that saw will rip through wood. I had some rounds today that you couldn't get through with a 20" bar and even with the bar buried you couldn't slow or bog it down.

You'll have some nice firewood from that in some years down the road, nice job on the hinge.

Actually I think white oak smells good, now reds like pin oak are another story. Smell like horse chit.
