    Don't notice any solar heat at the low agle

    Really pretty Dave! Lots of blues and purples this time of year out by you. Stacks look like their holding up nicely. :) Were a little warmer than you right now, but not by much.

    HOLY COW! That's awesome! both the scenery and the wood. how many cord a year and how many months do you burn each year? What's normal sized birch up there? What's your weapon of choice? saws expensive up that ways like everything else?

    how many cord a year :: 5-1/2 to 7
    how many months do you burn :: 6 - 7-1/2
    normal sized birch up there? :: up to 20"
    weapon of choice? (Assume a chain saw question ) :: Husqy 359. 20" , LPX
    saws expensive up that ways like everything else? :: Same price as lower 48 dealers, ordering one the shipping is a killer

    I figured y'all burnt more than 6months and guess'd by that stack it would be more a year than you do. I burnt 5 here last year in only 6 months and I'm sure we have much more milder temps than you guys get. Is that all hand split? Thats some work there..... :yes:

    They have an area where you just go cut? That's pretty awesome. We have to track down places to harvest wood if you don't have a bunch on your property.
