Schools closed means no kids concert tonight. Probably be Thursday night.

 

Worked 10hrs last night. Probably about as useless as tits on a boar hog today, but I cleaned the ash out of the stove. Going with the wife to take all 3 boys to the doc today. Least I get to nap on the way. Have a good day.

 

This freezing thawing every 3-5 days cycle is pizzzinmehoff ! Cant get much done here . Needs to stay above or below.

 

Hey JustWood. Did all that snow melt out there in Buffalo? How much actual flooding did they have anyway?

Had a heaping good time last night with me 2 brothers and a few other good pals. (no local ne'er do wells),,,butchered 32 Quail and they were either slow smoked or breaded and swam thru hot oil. Several varieties of homemade wine and plenty of cold frosties. An acoustic bass and 6 string guitar came out and I honked on the C and D harp. Lots of good times had by one and all. We even cooked a mess of marinated "turkey loin" on the woodstove.

 

I did see some of that. Not much. But it did show how full of himself he really is. Foolish decisions, foolish man.

 

Back from the Dr and all 3 boys have sinus infections. I feel bad for them.

 

That's too bad jetjr ... prolly can't avoid all of em getting it huh? Let's hope they're better soon and that you n your honey don't get it too. Hang in Dad.

 

Hope your family is feeling better jetjr. Better now and then get better before the Holidays, rather than the other way around.

 

Jet, hoping the young un's start feeling better soon. Rough time of year for kids that age.

Drove a charter bus run today from the local college up to the National Forest Research area. 48 Forestry students broken down to teams of two and sent on a orienteering by compass and map exercise to cruise and large area and identify tree species. Tomorrow we have another trip with the same group to another area where they will be trying to track and capture a radio-collared moose that is injured. Happens to be that the moose will actually be one of the students. Should be a hoot as it is supposed to snow here all night.

 

Stinny, rottiman and Gasifier all 3 are doing well. Worst part was the oldest 2 had a stomach bug for 2 days prior that was the main reason for going. Same Dr I had as a child so a nice visit. Stomach bug seems to be gone. Like I always say my own little germ warfare factory.

 

Hope you can keep their temps down and that they get back to h*ll raisin' as soon as possible...

 

Ayuh! Just miserable weather here, too.

 

I hear that Vermont is getting some nasty weather up there. Heavy, wet stuff and power outages in different places. Hope all stay safe.

 

I plowed after I got back from 10 hour shift of work. Man am I enjoying plowing in a comfy pick up truck again rather than in a piece of equipment.

 

That sounds like a good time there greendohn. Good for you guys. Gotta have fun!

 

Yesseree... when it's a little above freezing, it's snowing/raining on top of 10" ya gotta plow... that heated cab is awesome...
