    Maybe with several coats of epoxy but I don't see that faring well with the dry/humid swings we have here in NE.
    Sure would be nice to have and more funner to make.

    I could see that flying off the lathe in a million pieces :bug:

    I have a jet mini lathe with extended bed, will only do 12 inch diameter inboard,
    I also have a legacy ornamental mill that is like a lathe.
    I am an amateur turner never done any large diameter stuff

    I am proud of that piece , there was a lot involved, turning rough stock into that finished piece
