And a 039 got dropped in my lap as well this morning. Which is good because two of the parts I ordered for the 036 are really for the 1127 series and can go on the 039.

Thanks Dex for the very nice example of an 036! :vulture: :rootintootin: :saw: :saw: :saw:

I don't know about the 039, I have no money in it so, I guess that is fine.

Depending on what the 039 may or may not need, I have some items (seals, bearings, piston kit) in the classifieds for that saw.

I will keep that in mind. I have not pulled the muffler off yet, the compression is in the upper 130s by my gauge. This thing was rode hard and put up wet years ago. Most of the flocking is gone from the air filter. The spark plug is rusty.

Glad you liked it. Make sure it's tuned to your altitude.

    A free 039? Good deal :)

I got that oil cap if you want it? It came today. I will send it free of charge if you have yet to order one?

Thanks; DexterDay, Today has been rainy and I sat down with the 036 and replaced the parts we had spoken of down to the missing bumper strip. Retuned the saw. It was a little lean and turning 13800-900. Waiting on a 18" bar so tossed on one of the 20s I have sitting around to tune it and get a couple of pics.

Yes 18" bar. After hunting season I'll try it in some Red Oak. I also have a square chisel I need to try on it.

Glad you like it.. I figured you would rather have the "you replace the parts" price  Because I mark up those prices like 200% ;) lol

That should be a great saw and for a reasonable price :)

That's a pretty clean one! I really like the 036! They're a tough saw and handle so well. Though, I've rebuilt a few of them and damm those oil lines :headbang:
