Ramping up for a big day tomorrow! Gona give the 460 some exercise.

Busy day planned for tomorrow, loaded a trailer tonight with a cord of cut maple from January. Stuff was a little wet but most should be ok. Gota unload that in the morning then after a little work on the house I'm headed out to cut up a mulberry and haul it home. And if I have the time I'll head back over to dads and bring home the locust I have split over there. When all that is done I should have added 3+ cord to my stacks. Pics to follow.........

Thanks Gasifier, that was me cutting out the entrance to my barn to pour concrete in there. Was sick of all the dirt washing down into the barn, so poured concrete and put a drain in there.

 

Well up bright and early, here's round 1 dump trailer load. Borrowed a dump trailer to haul wood and my brother using it today too for hauling gravel on a concrete job. Digging a ditch now for water and electric line to my barn then off the cut up some mulberry.

 

It pulls ok, with the load of gravel last night it had more weight then it should have and I could feel it bouncing around a little, but empty and with the load of wood it pulled good.

 

13K behind a modern 3/4 ton shouldn't pose too many problems. Getting a bit heavy for a bumper pull, beyond that I like gooseneck options better but still should not pose technical issues unless the trailer is not straight.

 

Well got the mulberry cut up and home, didn't take any pics while cutting was going to do that when I got it home. Was cutting on a part of a farm I hunt. Then on the way home my day went to chit, I hit a deer we've been chasing for three years like the one I killed. But this one my wife was after, biggest deer I've seen in my life. And I hunt a lot, he is a main frame 10 point with unbelievable mass, stickers and a drop tine. The longest brows I've seen on a deer. He is a world class deer that will probably score 180-190. He didn't die but is hurt bad. I'm just sick, this is the only deer we were focused on for my wife to shoot. Now I gota go look for him the next few days before someone else finds him.

 

On a better note that 460 is crazy, loved cutting with that thing. Used that and the 026 today, the 026 did good but wow that 460 makes short work of cutting trees.

Truck is beat up pretty good too, wife is doin alright. Now we gota figure out what to do with hunting for her the rest of the year. Find another buck to chase.
