Had one like that show up several years ago in the middle of the rut season, saw himself in our big livingroom window the wife had to chase him off so he didn't come crashing into the house, of course I was back in my deer stand and didn't see a thing
Had one I had to keep chasing out of my yard. I think he wanted my garden and shrubs. He would stand there as snort at me. I had to toss sticks at him to get him to leave. I would have let the dogs out but I didn't want them to get any ideas about running off the deer. Very rare for that to have happened here. Usually, they smell the dogs and keep away.
I have no problem chasing them off when I'm hunting I jumped 4 does walking up my driveway less than 50yds from the house, and didn't see another deer the rest of the day - I guess I should stick to the plan of hunting from the front porch
I have no doubt. The whole family spent 15 or 20 minutes, including the dog, staring at him through the window and he never got spooked. I guess the gunshots were more scary to him...
