The Preacher Man worked It is a Wonderful Life into the sermon today. Now I am going to have to watch it again.:)

Fortunately less decorations came out this year, we still bought an awesome tree(she thinks its the best one ever).
We keep it simple between the two of us, and the dogs get their special breakfast - fried eggs and ham

Watched Bad Santa last night. Definitely not a family movie and lots of F bombs, but I busted out laughing more than a few times. It's rare that I can find a newer movie that makes me laugh and I love to laugh. I still laugh when I think about one of the lines which I can't repeat on here.

I kind of agree with you.

Hey does anyone know of any Christmas themed movies with John Wayne in them?

    Merry Christmas partner............

My favorites are Christmas Vacation and Elf, which I think may be Will Ferrell's best movie.

The wife and step daughter make me watch The Grinch with Jim Carrey with them, which is ok but definitely not one of my favorites. I'm making them watch It's a Wonderful Life this year, somehow they've never seen it!!

Ordered Christmas vacation blu ray from amazon last night. Hopefully it will be here by the 25th. The distribution center is only about 20 miles away, but my shipments go through like 4 other states before they're delivered.

We finally got around to watching Christmas story on blu ray, Friday night. The HD wasn't as good as new movies, but I was still impressed. This movie always seemed to have a fuzzy picture when I watched it in the past and it was nice to see it clearly. I found myself looking at the objects in the background more than anything else. They did a really good job of making the props in this movie period correct, right down to the match stick holder above the stove.

Watched Christmas vacation blu ray last night and it was better than the standard version, but not as good as Christmas story, even though the HD was better.
