Hey Jay I saw your parts list and it got my wheels turning. My stove has a Air Pump also. Does the pump only run during ignition, I have always wondered about that?

Yep, Only on during the ignition or start up cycle. Its used to push air through the igniter to keep it cooler and the result is the igniter acts more like a torch.

I never did the ash tests, because I never understood how they collect all the ash? Do you sweep the entire system clean on every test run? Can yiu use a shop vac? How do you collect it then? #confused #nevergotit #Iamgettingold :) Hehehehee

And the Husq 362 is nice, but the Stihl MS 362C-M is Awesome! ! ;) lol

Better leave it to the lab test dummies(AKA big dummies)! ;)

You could use a vac. Weight the bag first suck up all the ash and weight the bag again. Subtract bag weight and you have the total ash. ;)

Problem is you gotta get dat ash out of the bag so every one can see it. Pic's or it never happened rule.

Is that foil tape around the whole door of a Fahrenheit in that pic? Must be going for the 'never touch' ceiling record. :)

    Both latches are broke.

    Waiting on new ones..

I do mine when it's really cold. Because a fair amount pours out the side and top. I stopped the bottom by flipping the deflector (modified) on the bottom and I did his the day before Thanksgiving.

I also installed a larger impeller on his motor. Runs better now..

I have a couple spare latches that came with mine when I bought it. I haven't broken any yet, but the previous owner broke enough of them that he had a couple extras. I thought I broke one a week or so back, but the latch didn't spring back out when I opened the door. Easy fix, for now.

I put some thin foam weatherstripping around the door on mine. That cut down the air leaks to nearly zero. Its been on there since not long after I installed the furnace and so far, so good.

    Sorry for the derail....
