It kind of snuck up on me because I think/thought I was doing pretty good usage wise, but I just put my 25th bag into the hopper. I lost my last few years worth of data, so I have nothing to compare it to. Just curious how other's are doing.

9 bags here so far this season. Didn't start burning until early last week.

Turned the pellet furnace off today and went back to the wood eater at night. Supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow and 60s Sunday before returning to normal November weather.

Not too accurate, but about 30 bags. I have to try to keep this place overly warm or the wife will run to the electric heater or furnace thermostat. We have agreed to disagree about what is "warm".

I know!! That's why I'm trying different settings, I'd like to keep it around a bag to 1-1/2 bags a day if possible.

I am no Harman Pro, but there is a way to put this stove on a stat (put stat upstairs or on opposite end of basement)

Then run the stat with a large swing (3°-4°), and also rum on a setting that will let the stove shut down completely and restart. When it gets colder, then let the stove go to Pilot/Maintenance burn.

By shutting down, or setting back the temp on the stat, the stove will shut off when no heat is needed for long periods during the day.

Look at getting a stat, with a good swing (Lux 500 or 1500), set back the temp (programmable) during the day when at work, and make sure stove shuts down completely (while in the shoulder season)

I have 2,180 Sq upstairs and have yet to use a full bag in 24 hrs. Probably closer to a half bag a day. I've been burning since the weekend of Sept 22nd.

Member Gbreda is a Harman PRO!! He can help with the stat and any setting adjustments that you may need to do.

Dex, Keep in mind he has this stove in an unfinished basement. He may be better off running it in stove mode without a stat. Find a setting that uses the desired amount of pellets a day and leave it there. Having it on a stat with all the cold concrete and stone, withy a stat shutting the stove down, it's going to take a lot of energy to heat it back up. May be better off getting it warm and keeping it warm.
