Not sure what kind of wood it is but it looks like someone cut and never came back to get it..thank you

 

Nice...those to pieces in the middle kinda look like mulberry..the other stuff soft maple maybe.... you can def tell mulberry the wood is yellow...od course soft maple is white...nice find regardless...oh yes the life of a degenerate scroungerlooks like a coupla pieces of black cherry also

 

Nice! I think I see some oak and maple, maybe some gum? Get it split and ID will be easier

 

Great stuff there.Always look forward to getting some Silver Maple & Mulberry every year,quite plentiful around here.And Black Cherry is a nice bonus!

 

Good score - definitely some cherry, possibly ash/hickory, and the smooth looking stuff in the back could be Mulberry.

The bark in the second pic sure looks like mulberry, will know for sure once you split a piece.

I went Into the woods today and with the cold weather and snow we got i was able to see it simce most of the brush is dead..

 

Looks like ash maybe some red elm .

Nice grab, you saved it from the big rot, you're a true GIBIR NYCountry.

 

You'll know it's mulberry if it turns from yellow to dark brown as it dries. I've tossed a few smaller splits in the stove and it's very sparky but burns hot and long. Great stuff.

 

I'm telling ya, you New York members are setting the bar high..
