With the way the shoulder season has been dragging on here i figured it was time to clean the chimney. Planned on doing it today as it was dark by the time i got stuff put away yesterday but when i got in the house i heard a bit of creasote drop down the pipe. So stupid me grabbed a chunk of wood and tapped the black pipe.:hair:

And after i realized the friggen pipe wasnt letting any smoke out in came the can. Mrs loon was really impressed when she was opening all the windows and i was throwing fire bombs in the garbage can. :DGot the stove cool enough so that i could get my body in the stove to yank out the baffle then grabbed a flashlight so i could have some fun getting on the roof and sweep the pipe.
All the selkirk was quite clean but the black pipe still held a good amount of sote. No pictures of the smokeshow from lastnite as i was kinda busy:smoke: but here it is this morning.

I've done the "sure honey that log will fit in the stove scenario" once or twice. Always have a plan on what to do for these situations.

Impressive! Only thing I may have improved on would be to sit that can on the carpet and THEN start throwing torched splits in to it

Make sure that plan includes an unlocked door when you get to it, with a burning split... don't ask....

Drop the flaming splits in the hoppah like mightywhiteys avatar. Pretty easy to figure out how to put the flames out. Turn on the bath fan to evacuate smoke.
