I took my weekly trip to HD to see what's up. They had 2 partial pallets of FSU's on the floor and about 2 truckloads outside. The sign said $239/ton, $4.98/bags. So it looks like they're doing the split pricing now too. I passed on the FSU's at that price and went down the street to Wally World and picked up 5 bags of MWP at 4.38/bag.

Stopped at HD in Oxford on Thursday night. The place was loaded with Nations Choice and Freedom Fuel. The material type on the freedom fuel bags says "wood fiber". o_O

Wish I could find some of those AWF softies around here.

What kind of exotics are you finding at the pellet shops?

I was there on last Tuesday and saw the Nations Choice. I passed. I may grab five bags next time just to see. Not expecting much.

They started selling with 2 prices like Lowes a couple of weeks ago. By the bag they are $4.98 but I think the ton price is still $239. I was going to pick up MWP's at $4.38/bag at Walmart but talked myself out of it. I can get in and out of HD in 5 minutes. Walmart is like 20 minutes. 15 minutes of my time is worth the extra 3 bucks is costs to buy the FSU at HD.

Box store shortage seems to be easing here. TSC and HD both have some. Lowes I haven't checked but got an update from Robbie that they were getting GT's.

This warm weather we're having certainly isn't hurting things. Mellow today, A good thing as my stove decided to puke the auger bushing!

Nope, But Its a standard bronze bushing. I'll get one this week. I known the owner of a local shop(HB Guilford) and he stocks bushings of all sizes. I need a 5/8 ID x 7/8 OD x 5/8 long

I pulled the auger and freed the bushing. Basically it stuck to the shaft and spun itself out of the plate. Worked it free and flipped it over. Other end is fine so I pressed it back in. Should be fine for a while. Stoves ready to fire when needed. Hardest part was getting my big azz back there. o_O

Maybe I'll see if don can pimp my auger bushing? ;)

Hd bristil CT yesterday 42 tons chow & 21 tons of "premium wood pellet brand"

    239$ skid..

As far as HD teired pricing the AWFWP are worth it @ 270$.

On the other hand Lowes Greeneteam tax, is just a sucker born everyday scam.
