got a new DHT 27 ton at menards today, bought the display model which of course was assembled wrong and ended up with a slight bend in the table on my first split. There is a reason to purchase from a reputable dealer. But over all nice !! And no more back breaking.

The table or the tray, what ever it's called that holds the log hooked the end and put a slight bend in it. It's still usable just sucks being brand new.

Been swinging a sledge for thirty years today it retired !!

You gonna wonder what took so long to get one.
Now you can split wood as fast as you did 25 years ago.
And no more maul bounce back & setting aside the gnarlies,
all done with a little pressure applied to a lever on a valve

Back to being fun again :)

If new, run it a few hours or so then change the engine oil,
A good Break-in practice, & never know what might be in there.

married to a Italian a chainsaw would be my last gift for her !!

her chaps would most likely be Harley leather, and a hard hat touching her head would be a miracle of God !!

But after all these years bless her for four sons and a jarhead husband that has found a new hobby in cutting wood.

Thanks to all, it's a very Merry Christmas !! Ran the new splitter for about two hours today very happy with the work it performed all were rounds over 28 inches. I would still be out there swinging the sledge.

Called my dad after putting it away back in the day we used wood to heat our home for over thirty years in northern Illinois. I told him of the ease and quickness of the hydraulic splitter he was pretty quick to explain to me he didn't need it he had us boys !!

    I'm still smiling !!
