Thursday night I was watching TV with my eyes closed when I woke up to a cold living room but a hot stove. The room fan quit working (or never restarted) after I did a quick vacuum and refilled the hopper. The snap disc must have done it's job as the old girl was almost as toasty as a wood burner… I let it cool down for an hour before I took a look see.

I asked my bride when the stove quit… dunno. It was a little stinky when I restarted it… I had sprayed a little lube on the room fan. Maybe I got some on the internals and it just didn't like it?

Anyway it's back running… all I did was give the squirrel cage a little spin and it took off. It's been running non-stop since then… fingers crossed.

IF the convection fan is giving up the ghost you will get an overheated stove depending on the brand. I've seen stoves overheat just because the convection fan had too much animal fur in them and couldn't move enough air to keep the stove at the proper temp.

I think you are attempting to preach from the holy pellet stove bible to a charter member of the organization of Pellet Stove Cleaners International or at least the Wisconsin chapter of said organization.

I bought a mobile home back in the day, forced air furnace squirrel cage was packed with pet hair beyond belief. Yes it burned out before we knew. Good tip for other users.

That's what is in my propane burner now. Looked very familiar when I took the front door off to change the filter....thought I was looking at a pellet stove convection fan unit.

Actually I've been kinda lax in that department… since I retired I don't have the time! But I did do one LBT two weeks ago… the shop stove gets it next.

Right now I'm sitting in front of a cold stove… gotta get more pellets after my tenant pays his rent. Ran out this afternoon.

Folks don't let the krooser fool you, the spys confirm he is actually sitting atop a nuclear waste dump and is glowing a weird purple orange color, so he will be warm and be able to see his way to the necessities.
